Aaron Hardin, 2007 digital media studies graduate, was awarded the Tennessee Associated Press Photo of the Month award, November 2009. Hardin, who works as a photographer at the Jackson Sun, won for his photograph of Vietnam veteran Richard Drury. The Digital Media Studies major is an interdisciplinary program joining Art, Communication Arts, and Computer Science. Its purpose is to produce a student that is aesthetically, theoretically, and technologically trained and capable of excellence in the relatively new area of the design, production, and implementation of digital media.
